Designer Blinds is an independent fabricator of Hunter Douglas blinds, shades and Vinylbilt Shutters. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Designer Blinds has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the largest independent fabricators in the country. With Sales & Service offices in Kansas City, St. Louis and Minneapolis, Designer Blinds serves designers, decorators and retailers in the central United States with custom made top quality blinds, shades and shutters. Designer Blinds sells its products wholesale to the trade only. We do not sell the products we fabricate at a retail level.

Designer Blinds was founded in June 1986 by Ed Dale and
Lloyd Woodworth in an old department store building heavily modified to accommodate our needs. Woodworth and Dale instilled in the company the "Designer Blinds Difference" — a tradition of integrity and a "Golden Rule" approach to working with customers, suppliers and employees. From the beginning, Designer Blinds has experienced dramatic success and swift growth.

In 1998, Designer Blinds moved out of the old department store and into a large, clean, state of the art fabrication center in Omaha.
