Introducing Designer Roller Shades

Many New fabric Choices

Hunter Douglas Designer Shades has introduced a brand new look, feel, and design for roller shades with the new Designer Roller Shade collection. This new collection replaces the Remembrance Window Shade collection. Note: The Remembrance and Jubilance sample books have been discontinued. Please dispose of these books.

New Fabrics
The best selling fabrics from the Remembrance collection have been merged into this entirely new collection. All fabric collections are now grouped into these three categories.

  • Traditional for a classic look and traditional feel.

  • Natural for casual and comfort in any setting.

  • Soft for elegant textures, a gentle hand, and luxurious colors.

In all, there are 188 fabric selections available from 26 collections.

New Lift Systems
A new motorization system is available with Designer Roller Shades that features smooth, quieter operation available with hand held remote, wireless switch or an optional wireless timer. Motorization is now available for narrower windows —as narrow as just twenty inches.

The new dual roller shade houses two shades in one cassette with independent operation. Choose fabrics of varying opacities for optimal light control and privacy. In the example shown above right, the front shade is a light filtering selection. It is teamed with a room darkening fabric to offer a full range of light control.

The all new Cordless lifting system replaces the SoftRise system. An innovative built-in dial control provides height adjustability and roll up speed may be adjusted. Now, shades with the cassette option are available for the first time in a cordless lifting system.

New Design Options
A new Round Bottom Bar has replaced the oblong bottom bar previously used. The round profile at the top is now echoed through a round bar at the bottom. Adding a hint of style and sophistication to roller shades are the decorative metal end caps which are available in two styles – flat and beveled. Also new to the program are two metallic hardware finishes – nickel and golden brass.

Faux Wood Slats offer an alternative to the traditional bottom rod with a clean contemporary look. Available in nine colors, the faux wood adds visual appeal and a modern update. Please note that faux wood slats can only be placed along the bottom of the shade.

The new Designer Tape Trim is a way to add a subtle hint of color, without straying from a white or off white shade. The addition of this simple accent can cleverly tie a room together. Designer tape trims are used in place of the round bottom bar.
Use the new Decorative Hem with Trim for an elegant, traditional effect along the bottom of the shade. Pair one of seven hem styles with one of the ten new petite gimp trim colors. Note that all gimp, loop and brush trim options from the Remembrance line have been discontinued.
