Beady Eyes
Prevent Interference

Satellite Eyes for Luminette Privacy Sheers with PowerGlide now come with a Ferrite Bead as shown at left.

Radio Interference
During recent testing, it was discovered that under certain conditions Luminette PowerGlide could be susceptible to certain radio frequency interference.

To resolve this issue, Luminette Privacy Sheers with PowerGlide are now shipping with a new component built in to the Satellite Eye. The new ferrite bead component is attached to the wires extending from the satellite eye to the connector.

The bead is that it serves as a filter to eliminate radio frequency interference that may occur. Radio interference can manifest itself in various ways. It could prevent the sheers from operating at certain times or under certain conditions, or it could cause the shades to operate randomly without a signal being sent. At this time the testing has shown the potential issue to be specifically limited to Luminette with PowerRise.

This bead is now automatically included with shipments of Luminette with PowerGlide and has been since July 24, 2006. If you find that you may be having radio interference issues with a previous installation of Luminette with PowerGlide, the bead can be retrofitted to existing systems. The ferrite bead housing is the same color as the satellite eye.  All other installation procedures remain unchanged.
