New Options For
Heritance
® Hardwood Shutters

Hunter Douglas Heritance hardwood shutters, as made by
Designer Blinds, have some new options that will expand your opportunities by fitting into more windows— with more options.

One of the big problems, until now, has been with covering French Doors and allowing customers to keep the lever style crank handles.  With previous options, the handles often needed to be replaced or modified. So to "louver" and "lever"  at the same time has been difficult at best.  This new product enhancement changes all that.

Parlez Vous French Door?
The new French Door Cut Out option is great for that customer wanting to add shutters and still keep the crank style lever handles that you usually find on French Doors.  The arc contour of the cut out will encompass even the longest lever handles.  It is always perfectly centered with the handle and has a built-in light stops to retain privacy.  It can be used with single doors or with doors that come together in the center.

There is a surcharge for the French Door Cut Out option.  For cost conscious customers, other installation options for French door panels without the custom cutout, remain available with no surcharge.

New Trim L-Frame Eliminates The Need For Build-outs!

With the introduction of the French Door Cut Out, another new frame style is now available. The new frame component called a Trim L-frame. It has similar capabilities as the standard L-frame. Both the face and the base of the Trim L- Frame are thinner than the standard frame.  This allows the new frame to accommodate very narrow installation surfaces like the space between the glass on a French door and the base of the door handle.

This new Trim L-frame is deeper than our standard L-frame and provides clearance for both our 2.5" and 3.5" louvers without the use of build-out, depending on the trim around the window.

Product enhancements for Heritance Hardwood Shutters are just beginning.  Stay tuned and watch for more product enhancements to the Heritance line coming this year!
